About the Author
Anne Krohley is a professional dancer, master dance teacher, and choreographer. Like Mimette, Anne was raised in New York City and had the benefit of studying under the best. She trained at the School of American Ballet and under famous teachers like Bob Fosse and Matt Mattox for Jazz, Charles Weidman in Modern, and Anthony Tudor from the Metropolitan Opera House for ballet. Over the course of her career, she has performed and choreographed with companies both in the United States and abroad.
Anne has also distinguished herself as a premier children’s dance educator, teaching around the world, directing the New Jersey Dance Center, and spreading the love of dance to thousands over the years. The Story Ballet© Program and ShowKids© music collections that she developed are considered innovative ways to teach ballet and encourage preschoolers’ love of dance.
Anne wrote Mimette’s story while she was living in Austria and performing with the Vienna State Opera Ballet.
